Gluten Free Tortillas and Other Finds.

Thought this week I would share some of my quick shortcuts to eating healthy on the go!  Some of my favorite products come from places like Trader Joe’s, Costco and even Wal-mart.  Don’t misunderstand, whole raw food is still the best for your body, but sustainability is hard to achieve for that, so here are some of my favorite shortcuts.

Last week I found these babies at Wal-mart. They tasted quite like what I remember flour tortillas to taste like and were wonderful grilled with our favorite vegys.  I do make my own spelt ones which are quite easy but these are a quick alternative.

Another favorite that makes my dinner happen when I am too busy to plan I get at Costco (similar to Sam’s).  This is a quick and easy way to get some great protein in the form of Quinoa and Brown Rice.  I stir this into cooked flaked fish and whatever vegys I have on hand.  You could easily use chicken or beef or ground turkey as well.  Tonight I made enchiladas with it, recipe to come.

This drink has been the families most recent favorite.  We started with Odwalla brand but Costco isn’t consistent about carrying it and now are onto Naked.  This comes in individual servings but is much more cost efficient in the larger size.  Just a half a glass a day alone or blended with spinach and fresh fruit is yummy.

Last but not least for your fruit and vegys on the go, here is another find.  I have seen it at Wal-mart and Costco.

  1. Thank you for this info. You are doing an awesome job! I can’t wait to try the tortilla shells and the fruitables. I have been looking for a great way to add more fruits and veggies to my diet and my daughter who is in college…fruitables sounds like the real answer!
